PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of data even when a power source is turned off and recording data are destructed during data recording processing by recording data to a data storage medium after the data are stored into a memory when the data to be recorded are received from a host computer. CONSTITUTION:At a data storing device, a nonvolatile memory 23 to hold memory contents even when a power source is turned off is equipped, a flag to show that data are recorded is provided at a memory 23, when the data to be recorded are received from a host computer 1, the data are stored into the memory 23, thereafter, the flag is turned on and the data are recorded to a data storage medium 3. After the recording is completed, a flag is turned off, and when the power source rises to ON after the power source is once turned off, the flag is decided, and when the flag is turned on, the data stored into the memory 23 are recorded to a data storage medium 3 again. Thus, the destruction of the recording data is destructed. |
