<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a long-lived device whose electrical characteristic is excellent by a method wherein, after three kinds of specific oxides have been mixed and then baked, they are heattreated after a polishing process. CONSTITUTION:Bismuth oxide (Bi2O3) and another oxide are mixed with zinc oxide; they are baked; after that, a polishing process is executed. They are heat-treated after this polishing process. A condition for this heat treatment is not specified especially, but it is preferable that the heat treatment is executed in an oxidizing atmosphere, preferably in the air, at a temperature of about 300-600 deg.C for a duration of about 30 minutes -4 hours. If a treatment temperature is lower than 300 deg.C, an effect to improve a characteristic of an obtained voltage-nonlinear resistor is low. On the other hand, it the temperature exceeds 600 deg.C, an unnecessary phase transition or the like is caused, so this temperature is not desirable. In addition, if the treatment duration is shorter than 30 minutes, the effect to improve the characteristic is insufficient; if the duration exceeds 4 hours, this causes a negative effect and is not desirable.</p> |
