PURPOSE:To execute a light beam scan at a low cost and with high accuracy by controlling so that plural light beams are deflected and scanned by only a prescribed reflecting surface of a rotating mirror. CONSTITUTION:Light beams L1, L2 emitted from each semiconductor laser 1, 2 become parallel rays by collimator lenses 3, 4, respectively, the light beam L1 is reflected by a half mirror 5, and the light beam L2 passes through the half mirror 5 and made incident on a rotary polygon mirror 6. As for the rotary polygon mirror 6, the reflecting surface is constituted of four faces (a)-(d), but in this case, the light beam is reflected by only the face (a), therefore, such a control as stops the light beams L1, L2 while the faces (b)-(d) are in a laser beam irradiated position P is executed by a control means. In such a way, an inclination position P is executed by a control means. In such a way, an inclination between each face of the rotary polygon mirror 6 is eliminated, and also, an expensive and asymmetrical toric lens, a cylindrical lens, etc., become unnecessary, and a light scan can be executed at a low cost and with a high performance. |
