Interference AC fields picked up by the rod antenna produce signals which are diode-limited and applied to a first operational amplifier with output-to-input feedback. A second operational amplifier feeds the perturbing voltages to a diode rectifier bridge network with an analogue indicator. The two operational amplifiers form an impedance converter between the high-impedance input circuit and the low-impedance bridge network. The equipment is powered from two Li batteries with parallel capacitors via key switches. USE/ADVANTAGE - Detection of concealed conductors, or indication of operational state of an electrical installation. Indicating where screening is required to prevent interference to neighbouring equipment or even human beings. Compact, lightweight, and self-contained with inbuilt battery power supply. Operation is very simple and does not require skilled or trained personnel.
