Process and device for storage, feeding and unwinding film rolls for/on a laminating machine. The film rolls have hitherto been accommodated in a complicated manner by means of bars in the unwinding station and the film roll changing is labour-intensive and time-consuming. In addition, the film rolls not required are deposited at any location and are thus not immediately readily accessible and require a long transport distance. Damage-free provision, rapid feeding over a short path of the respective film roll to the unwinding station and simple and automatic accommodation in the winding station are to be achieved. This is achieved by means of a magazine (4) receiving a plurality of film rolls (2) in a readily accessible manner, a gripper (5) moving the desired film roll (2) and by the clamping cone (8), receiving the film roll (2) in an automatically centred manner, in the unwinding station (7) (Fig. 2). This process and the device are suitable for an efficient operation for lamination machines. <IMAGE>
