PURPOSE:To eliminate curling and local waving and to prevent the generation of a modulation error by providing a reinforcing frame which imparts tension on a floppy disc body having a magnetic recording layer on a flexible substrate in the peripheral edge part of the floppy disc body. CONSTITUTION:An annular reinforcing frame 2 which imparts uniform tension on a floppy disc body 1 is provided in the peripheral edge part of the body, whereby a floppy disc is constituted. Since such floppy disc is imparted with adequate tension on the body 1 by means of the frame 2, the curling that might be generated when there is no frame 2 is entirely eliminated and the local waving is considerably decreased. The contact between the disc and a head is thus made smooth and the generation of a modulation error is prevented as far as possible. |
