Appliance for affixing a label to a dough article, especially to a bread-dough article, characterised by an arm which is rotatable to a limited extent about its longitudinal direction in both directions of rotation and is pivotable to a limited extent in both pivoting directions in an area containing its longitudinal direction and on the free end of which is mounted a transfer plate, projecting laterally from it, for transferring a respective label out of a label magazine into a labelling station and for pressing the label onto a surface region of a dough article located in the labelling station.
