METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE CONNECTION OF CORDLESS TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT.

A cordless telephone system has a number of radio telephone sets (20A,20B) connected to a radio network (1) via a connection device (10). Each telephone set (20A,20B) has a key switch (26), an internal/external selection switch (29) and a memory storing its group identification code as well as individual identification code. At the time of dialling, each telephone set transmits a dial signal which includes internal/external selection data, group identification data and individual identification data. The connection device compares the received group identification data with its own group code and responds to the telephone set only when they are in agreement. In case of an external call, the dial signal is sent to the radio network, whilst in case of an internal call, a communication channel is established by a control circuit (14) of the connection device (1) within the group.
