PURPOSE:To provide the titled recording medium capable of thermal recording with high sensitivity and excellent in preservation stability, comprising water- soluble salts together with a diazonium salt, a coupler or the like. CONSTITUTION:(A) a diazonium salt (e.g., a compound of formula I ), (B) a coupler (e.g., a compound of formula II), (C) water-soluble salts (e.g., potassium phosphorus hexafluoride) in an amount of 50-1,000wt% to component A and, preferably in addition, (D) a base (e.g., thiourea) and/or a heat-fusible substance (e.g., stearic acid amide) are applied onto a wood free paper together with a binder such as PVA to obtain the desired recording medium. |
