PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive superconductor exhibiting superconductivity at the b.p. of liquid N2 by mixing powders contg. specified three groups of elements in specified proportions, precalcining the powder mixture, molding obtd. precalcined product, calcining the molded body in oxidizing atmosphere, to obtain thus a sintered body having K2NiF4 structure contg. rhombic crystals. CONSTITUTION:A powder mixture consisting of 10-60atom.% first component consisting of Y and at least one kind among Sc, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu 20-50atom.% second component consisting of Ba, and 30-65atom.% third component consisting of at least one kind among Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Pd, Ag, and Cd, is dried, granulated, and compression-molded successively, and the molded product is sintered at about 950-1,200 deg.C in oxidizing atmosphere, forming thus a sintered body having K2NiF4 structure contg. rhombic crystals. By this process, an aimed superconductor consisting of elements belonging to the first component, second component, third component, and O is obtd. |
