PURPOSE:To improve quality of a cast slab by heating the cast slab position corresponding to the non-solidified part remaining in the inner part of the cast slab and reducing heat radiation from the surface of the cast slab. CONSTITUTION:In twin roll type continuous casting machine having cooling rolls 1 heating devices 9 are arranged from lowest position to upper position of the non-solidified part 9 existing in the cast slab 3. At the time of casting the cast slab 3 from molten metal 2 with the continuous casting machine, the heat radiation 5 at the surface of the cast slab 3 is restrained through inlet heat 10 by heating with the heat device 8, and the heat 11 at the non-solidified part 9 in the inner part is shifted in the inner part of the cast slab as parallel with the outer surface. By this method, growth of the solidified shell 4 is uniformized and development of local non-solidified zone is prevented. Therefore, as development of pattern, etc., caused by cave-in on the cast slab 3 is prevented, the quality of the cast slab 3 is improved. |
