PURPOSE:To prevent products from contamination by pinching a PVC piped with a pair of clamps, heating between the clamps for softening and elongating, fitting the elongated portion by pressure in a groove of a die upon plastic cutting, chamfering it, and thereby eliminating generation of splash. CONSTITUTION:A PVC pipe P is pinched with a pair of clamps 1, and a heater 2 heats between the clamps for softening. The clamps 1 are separated in the axial direction, and the softened portion of the pipe P is elongated. A cutter is pressed to the softened portion whose wall thickness has reduced, and the pipe P is cut plastically. Because of plastic cutting, no splash will be generated. The cut surfaces are further separated, and a die is inserted therein. The two ends are fitted by pressure in a chamfering groove of the die, and chamfering is performed. This series of actions are carried out while the pipe P is in softened condition. Accordingly chamfering of the pipe P is made in good precision without generation of splash. |
