PURPOSE: To enable the device to effectively prevent illegal action at the time of collection by collecting a storage medium together with paper moneys or coins by storing the storage data of paper moneys or coins housed in a housing box into an attachable and detachable storage medium (IC card). CONSTITUTION: The device 1 for discriminating and housing paper moneys or coins is composed of a main body 4 provided with an discriminating means 3 for discriminating the truth/false of paper moneys or coins and a housing box 5 for housing the paper moneys or coins discriminated as true. The main body 4 is provided with a recorder equipped with an attachable and detachable storage medium 231 and a control means for storing the storage data into the medium 231 corresponding to the housing of paper moneys or coins. As for a method for recording various kinds of data into the medium 231, based on a random number table and a register number previously stored in the medium 231, respective data are transformed by a fixed transformation formula enabling inverse transformation and recorded later. Therefore, the read and revise of stored data are practically made impossible and the possibility for the illegal action can be excluded. |
