PURPOSE:To enable a device to high accurately polish a cutting edge surface of a cutting tool, held by a tool holder, by providing a compensating member for reducing inertia force of the tool holder when it swivels. CONSTITUTION:Actuating a swivel mechanism 27 by driving a motor 17, a tool holder 2 is swiveled by this swivel mechanism 27 reciprocating in a predetermined range with a pivotally supporting part 10 serving as the supporting point in the peripheral direction of the cutting edge surface in its center of curvature of a diamond tool 37, and this cutting edge surface is brought into contact with a polishing member performing polishing work. The tool holder 2, when it swivels, reduces the inertia force by a coil spring 36 serving as the compensating member, enhancing polishing accuracy of the cutting edge surface of the diamond tool 37. |
