The central heating boiler according to the invention is of the type comprising a heating body 2 shaped to contain a mass of water around a cavity 4 whose front end is adjacent to the burner 1 and whose back end is connected to a flue 5 for evacuating the combustion gases, a dry hearth 6 located in the cavity of the heating body so that its inlet 7 points towards the burner and its bottom 8 is adjacent to the evacuation flue, the dry hearth forming an annular space 9 with the heating body, and projections 11 distributed in the annular space for supporting the dry hearth and facilitating a transfer of heat between the combustion gases and the water. It is characterised in that the projections 11 are distributed so as to constrain the combustion gases to circulating inside the annular space 9 with a descending path. Its heating body 2 may enclose at least one heating resistor 18 extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cavity 4. <IMAGE> |
