PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting substance having high superconductive critical temperature and exhibiting superconducting characteristics without using expensive liquid He, by adding F at a specific ratio to an oxide composed of Y, Ba and Cu. CONSTITUTION:The objective superconducting substance is produced by adding F at a ratio of 1-3 to an oxide composed of Y, Ba and Cu. The ratios of Y:Ba:Cu:F are preferably adjusted to 1:2:3:(1-3). The superconducting substance can be produced e.g. by mixing YOF, 2BaCO3 and 3CuO, repeatedly calcining the mixture several times in a thinnest possible state, subjecting the calcined product to crushing, pressing and sintering and heat-treating in oxygen atmosphere. It can be also produced by coprecipitation process. The superconductive critical temperature of the superconducting substance produced by the above process is as high as >=200 deg.K. |
