Light-conducting panels with elevations are plastic panels or glass plates (glass sheets) which can conduct light and which have on one of their large surfaces elevations from which the light which is present in the panel exits at a greater intensity than in the surroundings of the elevations. An illuminant which does not leak light, is segmented and can be easily assembled is to be produced from these panels. This is achieved by joining the light-conducting panels (1) together to form a plane (2) which can conduct light. <IMAGE>
