The invention is based on a multipole switch (1) for use in printed circuits, consisting of a parallelepiped housing from which a plurality of connections (5-12) project laterally from two side surfaces (3, 4) or from the base surface and, in the interior of the switch, one mechanical, moving contact element (13, 14) is allocated to each two connections, the contact elements being movable from above one of the main surfaces of the switch. A second row (16) of contact elements (14) is arranged directly opposite the row (15) of contact elements (13), at least two directly adjacent connections (5-12) of one and the same connection row (15, 16) of connections (5-12) in each case being allocated to one contact element (13, 14), and the connections (5-12) which are to make contact with one another thus being located on one and the same side (3, 4) of the switch (1).
