The door leaves of folding shutter doors are formed from at least two webs which are suspended on linkage parts, which are connected in an articulated manner to one another, can move in a horizontal plane and belong to a linkage which is divided corresponding to the number of webs, and can be folded. Of neighbouring webs adjoining at an articulation, one web, projecting beyond the articulation axis, overlaps the other web, and the webs are connected by a butt strap or a plurality of butt straps distributed over the height of the webs, in order to eliminate uncontrolled rattling of the webs. Said butt straps are subjected to considerable wear and tear. In order to ensure secure connection of the webs and simple and rapid mounting of the butt straps, the invention makes provision for the use of butt straps (7) which are formed from flat-strip material, and are provided with, or connected to, a head piece or toggle (18) at both ends, and for eyelets (8) which are inserted into holes (9) of the webs (1, 2), are provided with a slot (10) and are aligned perpendicularly with respect to the hole longitudinal axis, at least one head piece or toggle (18) being connected releasably to its butt strap (7). It is particularly advantageous to configure the butt strap (7) at at least one end as an open loop (17) into which a toggle (18) can be plugged and can be connected to the butt strap (7). <IMAGE>
