<p>To manufacture particles used as drugs, an at least partly fluid core material and an at least partly fluid coating material are sprayed into a cyclone chamber (11) and swirled with refrigerated gas, in particular air. The initially at least partly fluid particles formed from the sprayed core material are hardened by cooling during swirling and enveloped in coating material. Then either the coating alone is dried so that the core of the finished particles is at least partly fluid at ambient temperature, or in addition the core is also dried by freeze-drying so that the core of the finished particles is a solid aggregate at ambient temperature. The process makes it possible to encapsulate at least essentially fluid core materials economically and without damage and to confer on the drug particles so formed desirable release and resorption properties of at least one pharmaceutical active ingredient and/or auxiliary.</p> |
