<p>Tetrahydroisoquinoline derivatives of the formula I <IMAGE> are pharmacologically active, having a diuretic, hypertensive and saluretic effect. These compounds are prepared by reacting a tetrahydroisoquinoline derivative of the formula II <IMAGE> with a carboxylic acid derivative of the formula III <IMAGE> if necessary followed by eliminating a protecting group. Symbol meanings: R = H or Cl R1 and R2 = H, -OCH3 or -OC2H5, R3 and R4 = H or CH3, R5 and R6 = H or, together = CHN(CH3)2.</p> |
