PURPOSE:To protect a chain, etc. from an impact force by pressing a roller at the top edge of a piston rod by a spring and connecting the oil chambers on the both sides of a piston having a space left through a flow passage equipped with a check valve and forming a small gap from the outer periphery of the piston. CONSTITUTION:A small gap 10 is interposed between the outer periphery of a piston 2 which divides the oil chamber 6 and 7 filled with working oil in 90-95% and a cylinder 1, and a return preventing valve 11 is interposed in an oil passage communicating to the oil chambers 6 and 7 formed in the piston 2. A flow passage 12 for connecting the both oil chambers 6 and 7 is formed, and a flow rate adjusting valve 13 is installed midway, and a roller 4 is fixed at the top edge of a piston rod 3, and the roller is pressed onto a chain or belt by a spring built in each cavity on the both sides of the cylinder 1 of a body 5. Therefore, the chain or belt is protected from an impact force, and the vibration during the high speed operation can be prevented.
