PURPOSE:To reduce the mixing of noise and to insulate a patient circuit side from a secondary circuit side, by transmitting the signal from an image pickup means to the secondary circuit system through a converter means performing the A/D conversion of said signal while applying isolation processing thereto. CONSTITUTION:The return light from an object 1 is formed into an image on a solid-state image sensing element 3 by an image forming optical system 2. The image of the object 1 is photoelectrically converted by the solid-state image sensing element 3 to be sent to an image signal processing circuit 31 as an image signal through a cable 4 and a noise reducing measure such as correlational double sampling is applied to said signal in a noise reducing circuit 32 and said signal is converted to digital data by an A/D converter 33 to be transmitted to a secondary circuit from a patient circuit through an isolation element 34. As mentioned above, since the image signal from the solid-state image sensing element 3 is converted to the digital signal and isolation is applied thereto, the mixing of noise is eliminated and the deterioration of the image is not generated and the insulation of the patient circuit side from the secondary circuit side can be performed.
