PURPOSE:To produce a superconductor having a specified perovskite structure, permitting elimination of instability of the rate of decrease of resistance and elevation of critical temp. by consisting of, as primary components, yttrium or lanthanoid, alkaline earth element, and halogen. CONSTITUTION:The title superconductor has perovskite structure and is expressed by the formula, and contains as primary components Ln, Ae, Cu, O, Ha (wherein Ln is yttrium or lanthanoid; Ae is an alkaline earth element; Ha is halogen). In the formula, 0<=x; y<=1; 0.5<=z<=4; 0<=delta<=1. Said superconductor has characteristic as described hereunder in the crystal structure. (1): The superconductor has a region contg. two c-faces contg. at least Ae adjacent to a c-face contg. at least Ha as an intermediate face. (2):An orientation of atoms. comprising primarily -Cu-O-Cu-O- is arranged to b-axis direction. (3): The orientation of atoms comprising primarily -Cu-Ha-Cu-Ha- is arranged to a-axis direction. |
