PURPOSE:To obtain a container capable of safely storing and transporting acid halide, by respectively using straight chain low density polyethylene as the packing between a screw opening and a plug and butyl rubber as the packing of the connection part of the opening and an outside drum top plate. CONSTITUTION:In a composite container having a double structure wherein a plastic inner container A is received in a metal drum B and the screw opening of the inner container protrudes from the opening 10 provided to the top plate of the drum, a plug 14 is screwed in the inner peripheral screw of the screw opening 11 through a packing 15 made of straight chain low density polyethylene to hermetically close the inner container A. Further, the opening 10 provided to the top plate of the drum and the contact surface with the cylindrical part 12 of the inner container A being the inner surface thereof are sealed by a packing made of butyl rubber to hermetically seal the space part between the outside drum B and the inner container A.
