PURPOSE:To prevent the slack of a tape and to improve the operability by equipping the structure operating in the state of a pinch roller being always press-contacted to a capstan shaft in the case of a tape transfer direction being reversed after completion of the loading of the tape. CONSTITUTION:When a pin pressing arm 20 starts to descend along the spiral groove formed on the outer periphery of a pinch cam 23, a mobile tape guide member class is moved to a specified position and starts to descend along the spiral groove planted on the pin pressing arm 20. The mobile tape guide member class is then moved to a specified position and after the pinch roller 5 planted on the pin pressing arm 20 descending to the tape traveling level a loading operation is completed at the time of its press-fitting to a capstan shaft 4 and a PLAY state is attained. In this case, the tape transfer can be executed freely in the normal/reverse direction in the state of the pinch roller 5 being always press-fitted to the capstan shaft 4 after completion of loading.
