PURPOSE:To prevent the breakdown of a magnetic tape by executing the braking of a reel base becoming of a feeding side with rotating a rotary lever in the direction increasing a braking force centering around a fixed support shaft. CONSTITUTION:In the braking operation from a fast forwarding a pin 24a comes into the end of a cam groove 30a by the rotation in a counter clockwise direction of a driven lever 22a and the rotation with the mobile support shaft 29a of a braking lever 28a as the center is thus made to be regulated. The driven lever 22a and rotating lever 26a are integrated and made rotatable within the range of a fixed pin 20a being slided in an oblong hole 27a with a fixed support shaft 18a as the center, the fixed support shaft 18a is made to locate at a biting side due to the rotary direction of the reel base 14 being in a clockwise direction, and the reel base 14 stops immediately because the braking lever 28a and rotating lever 26a integrally perform the braking of the reel base with rotating in the direction increasing the friction between a butt part 31a and the real base 14. Due to such braking being performed no high tension is generated on a magnetic tape.
