PURPOSE:To obtain a process liquid for making a waterless plate superior in the coating property and base-treating effect, by mainly consisting of a polar solvent, a specific amine, and a hydrocarbon. CONSTITUTION:In a process liquid for making a waterless plate formed by applying a photosensitive layer made of a substance having a quinone diazide construction and a silicone rubber layer in this order on a substrate, the process liquid is mainly composed of a polar solvent, an amine shown by a general formula (I), and 40wt.% or more of a hydrocarbon. In the formula, R1, R2 represent 1-10C alkyl or 6-10C aryl, or one of the R1 and R2 H, and (n) represents an integer 1-5. The amine shown by the formula (I) has a good compatibility with the polar solvent and the hydrocarbon. Therefore, it is effective for the developing properties of the base-treating effect and the image reproducibility that 0.05-20wt.% of the amine is added to the process liquid exhibiting a large base-treating effect by small loadings. It is preferable that the polar solvent and the hydrocarbon are used in mixing ratio ranging 5-60wt.% and 40-95wt.%, respectively. |
