PURPOSE:To provide the titled agent for automatically performing detergent to be used at water closet, comprising a copolymer from hydrophilic monomer consisting of carboxyl group-contg. monomer etc. and another monomer either sparingly soluble or insoluble to water such as alkyl acrylate. CONSTITUTION:The objective slow-dissolving agent comprising a copolymer from (A) 10-90wt.% of hydrophilic monomer consisting of carboxyl group-contg. monomer and/or tertiary amine group or quaternary ammonium group-contg. monomer (B) 10-90wt.% of another monomer either sparingly soluble or insoluble to water consisting of alkyl (meth)acrylate, and furthermore, if needed, (C) 0-50wt.% of at least one kind of monomer containing amide hydroxyl, nitrile, halogen, aromatic hydrocarbon, aliphatic hydrocarbon, amino or sulfonic acid (salt) group, etc.
