PURPOSE:To augment a stemming gain by constituting a discrimination circuit for judging the rotating mode of a wheel and controlling a valve device in a brake circuit so that the valve device will be selected to a normal position when the rotary acceleration of the wheel reaches the second predetermined positive valve larger than the predetermined positive value. CONSTITUTION:A valve device 22 for anti-skid control is provided on the way of a main pipe line 20 connecting a master cylinder 12 to a wheel cylinder 18. Also, the main pipe line 20 between the valve device 22 and the wheel cylinder 18 is connected with a branch circuit 28 wherein a reservoir 30, an electromagnetic valve 32 for stemming control and a pump 36 including non-return valves 34 and 36 are arranged in a sequence. The valve device 22 and electromagnetic valve 32 detect whether the rotary acceleration of a wheel reaches the positive and negative predetermined values, and control wheel rotation according to an instruction from discrimination device for judging the rotating mode of the wheel. In this case, when the rotary speed of the wheel reaches the second predetermined positive value larger than the positive predetermined value, the valve device 22 is so controlled as to be selected to a normal stemming position A.
