PURPOSE:To efficiently attain a command selection processing by displaying a catalog edition command group edited and registered in advance so as to constitute and register the catalog editor command system at every operator in compliance with the operating command. CONSTITUTION:In inputting a display instruction of a menu buildup picture from a keyboard 4a, a command area, a main command area and a sub command area are displayed as a list. In instructing the selection of a page management command by a pointing device 4b, the command is inversely displayed. Then the command is inversely displayed on a user main command registration area by the device 46. A page management command is assigned and displayed in a registration designation area designated by a registration display means 3c to display (5) the user registration picture. The user name is registered in the user registration area to register the edition command group registered in the user registration area and the user sub command registration area to a layout edit program memory 1 at every job process and every user and then the edition command registration processing is finished.
