PURPOSE:To enable a performance test of a heat pipe after completion of work of the heat pipe as well as a regular inspection to be carried out by a method wherein a part of a heat discharging part of the heat pipe is cooled and the heat pipe is operated and its temperature is measured. CONSTITUTION:A cooling body 3 is abutted neat an upper end of a heat pipe 1 and the heat pipe 1 is locally cooled. If the heat pipe 1 is normal, vapor of the heat pipe working liquid is condensed at the cooled part within the heat pipe is condensed to discharge heat, then the working liquid may evaporate at a thermal collecting part 11 in the ground to start an action of the heat pipe. As a result, a heat conducting material 4 of a cooling material 3 is heated and the coolant passage side is cooled, so that the temperature may appear at temperature sensors 6 and 7 corresponding to a thermal condition. If the heat pipe 1 is in trouble, a temperature of a part to which the cooling body 3 is abutted remains decreased near the coolant temperature of the cooling body 3. |
