PURPOSE:To record an acoustic signal simultaneously with picture recording by allowing a function switch to control a video signal selecting circuit and an acoustic signal selecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a video signal supplying means 17 for supplying a video signal selected by a video signal selecting circuit 24 to a video signal input terminal of a video apparatus capable of recording images, a recording signal supplying means for supplying an acoustic signal selected by an acoustic signal selecting circuit 6 to an acoustic signal recording input terminal 5 of a video instrument capable of recording sound and a control circuit 40 for controlling the selecting state of the circuits 24, 6 in accordance with the operation of a function switch 23 and having a holding means 23 for holding the circuit 24 at the selecting state obtained before depressing the switch 23 when the acoustic apparatus is selected by the switch 23. Consequently, the monitoring or recording of a video signal and the generation or recording an acoustic signal can be executed by using different apparatuses.
