In order to produce an electric circuit arrangement for coupling telecommunications functional units (TKFE), for example modems, fax machines, telephone sets and the like to the analog telephone network and via an adapter to the ISDN telephone network, by means of which the TKFE can be operated alternatively via either network, it is proposed that the control lines of the two networks are connected to a two-way switch which is connected on the output side to the TKFE, the two-way switch being changed over to connect the input line carrying the signal to the output line depending on the incoming ringing signal. <IMAGE>
