PURPOSE:To decrease lowering of transmission efficiency by setting the shape of electrodes of a piezoelectric vibrator and the position of a sinking comb of a vibrating body as predetermined. CONSTITUTION:A wave motor incorporates a spacer 6 placed on a substrate 5, and a vibrating body 3 bonded to a piezoelectric vibrator 1 relating to the predetermined position. The vibrating body is provided with a sinking comb 3a on which a rotating body 4 is disposed with the rotation axis 4a thereof being fixed in the conter. The rotating body 4 is connected to the substrate 5 rotatably with a snap ring 7. And the spacer 6 is made of elastic deformative material, and produces a constant frictional force between the sinking comb 3a and the rotating body 4. Moreover, the relation of bonding position between the vibrating body 3 and the piezoelectric vibrator 1 is so established that an opening angle, relating to the center of the smallest electrode 1a among the electrodes applying a driving signal, is (a). Further, an electrode 1b for detecting back electromotive force and an electrode 1c for applying another driving signal are so provided that the respective opening angles are (b) and (c) so as to for the opening angles of the gap be equal to each other. |
