Profiled edge-protection section

A profiled edge-protection section for use in association with hooping measures of stacks of goods, parcels and the like has an essentially L-shaped cross-section and is provided with self-adhesive longitudinal strips. With regard to handling techniques, it is especially favourable if this profiled edge-protection section is extruded from a mass consisting of thermoplastic material and is provided, between the outer longitudinal edges, with in each case a continuous longitudinal indentation, in which the assigned self-adhesive longitudinal strip of a profiled section lying in front in the stack lies without touching the indentation surface. On its central inner longitudinal edge, the profiled edge-protection section should be provided with a channel-shaped longitudinal recess. <IMAGE>
