A panel for displaying the operating condition of installations distributed over a large area is specified, in which the installation elements and their interconnections, as well as the operating conditions of the installation elements, are made visible by means of light-emitting diodes (1) of different colours. The panel consists of an essentially closed front plate (8), behind which the light-emitting diodes are arranged on circuit boards (2..6) in such a way that their light output faces project into recesses (7) in the front plate. The circuit boards with the light-emitting diodes are mounted by means of clamping springs (9) on carrying pins (10) fixed to the front plate and can be mounted and dismounted without the use of a tool. They carry connecting elements for the electrical connection of the light-emitting diodes. <IMAGE>
