PURPOSE:To eliminate malfunction and to perform phase control normally by providing an oscillation stop circuit which is synchronized with a commercial power source. CONSTITUTION:An inverter apparatus rectifies voltage of a commercial power source AC, and drives a load 3 through a high frequency generator circuit 2. The control circuit thereof comprises a pulse generator circuit 4, a phase control circuit 5, and a oscillation stop circuit 6. And, in a synchronous circuit 8, a synchronizing signal which is synchronized with the commercial power source AC is obtained from a pulating voltage obtained through a rectifying circuit 7, and the synchronizing signal is then applied to the pulse generator circuit 4 to generate a pulse signal which causes the high frequency generator circuit 2 to start its oscillation. Moreover, said synchronizing signal is also applied to an oscillation stop circuit 6 which is synchronized with the commercial power source AC to stop the oscillation of the high frequency generator circuit 2. Accordingly, even if capacity components are connected in parallel to the power source, the oscillation of the high frequency generator circuit 2 is able to be stopped with being synchronized with the commercial power source AC, thereby the normal phase control is able to be performed.
