PURPOSE:To improve gradation properties of images, by providing on a base a microporous heat-fusible ink layer comprising a heat-fusible substance solid at normal temperature and a coloring agent as main constituents and comprising a resin containing a branched saturated monohydric alcohol. CONSTITUTION:A heat-fusible substance, a coloring agent, a branched saturated monohydric alcohol or a fatty acid ester thereof, and an oil for forming porosity in a thermoplastic resin are dispersed through mixing with an appropriate organic solvent by use of a ball mill or the like to prepare an ink dispersed liquid. Separately, a solution of the thermoplastic resin in an organic solvent is prepared, is mixed with the ink dispersed liquid, and the resultant mixture is uniformly dispersed by a ball mill or the like. Then, the resultant dispersed liquid is applied to a base, followed by drying to provide a heat-fusible fink layer having a microstructure. The content of the branched saturated monohydric alcohol or fatty acid ester thereof is preferably 20-50wt.%. |
