PURPOSE:To obtain Cu-Ni-Sn alloy showing excellent fatigue resistance without lowering the electric conductivity at low cost by subjecting the copper alloy contg. specific amounts of Ni, Sn and trace amounts of one or more kinds of elements to heat treatment before final finish working and further to an aging treatment after the finish working. CONSTITUTION:The copper alloy contg., by weight, 6-25% Ni and 4-9% Sn, furthermore contg. 0.04-5% in total, of one or more kinds among the elements shown in Table 1 and the balance consisting substantially of Cu is treated as follows: said copper alloy is subjected to the heat treatment for the purpose of structure adjustment in the temp. range of 600-770 deg.C before the final finish working and the appearance of two or more phases having the complicated crystal structure is attained to improve the fatigue resistance thereof. The copper alloy after the heat treatment is then subjected to <=50% finish working and thereafter to the aging treatment in the temp. range of 350-500 deg.C, by which the Cu-Ni-Sn alloy having an excellent fatigue resistance, as aimed, is obtd.
