摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten the longitudinal size of an entire transmission and reduce the power loss caused by oil stirring resistance, by setting at least an output shaft and the second intermediate shaft above a plane which passes through an input shaft and the center of differential gears. CONSTITUTION:In a transmission main body 3, an output shaft 8 and the second intermediate shaft 11 are placed diagonally above and behind an input shaft 6, on the same one horizontal plane, and the first intermediate shaft 10 is placed on a plane which passes through the input shaft 6 and the second intermediate shaft 11. Correspondingly with this matter, the rear 9a of a transmission case 9, which is a container for a row 13 of main transmission gears, is offset to the upper part of the transmission case 9, and a lower part space 22 in which an axle 5 is set, is formed at the lower part of this transmission case 9, to shorten the longitudinal size of the entire transmission. As a row 12 of auxiliary transmission gears, the row 13 of main transmission gears and a clutch, which are combined on the first and the second intermediate shafts 10, 11 and the output shaft 8 set above the input shaft 6, are not dipped in an oil tank at the bottom of the transmission case 9, they are not influenced by the oil stirring resistance. In this way, space efficiency can be raised, and the power loss can be reduced.
