PURPOSE:To aim at attaining a suitable air-conditioning control, by providing passenger compartment temperature detectors in the vicinity of the ceiling and the floor of a vehicle so as to selectively employ detected temperature values in accordance with the boarding condition of a vehicle such as a full vehicle condition, a vacant condition or a passenger capacity condition. CONSTITUTION:The boarding condition of a vehicle is detected by a stress load weighting device 10 while thermistors 9a, 9b for detecting the temperature of the passenger compartment of the vehicle are provided in the vicinity of the ceiling and floor of the vehicle. For example, during cooling operation a control of air-condition is carried out in accordance with the temperature in the vicinity of the floor in a full vehicle condition, the temperature in the vicinity of the ceiling in a vacant condition or both temperatures in a passenger capacity condition. With this arrangement, it is possible to control the air- condition appropriate for an actual boarding condition so as to eliminate uncomfortable feeling such as excessive cooling, temperature rise or the like.
