PURPOSE:To realize high speed format rotary printing by providing two character format rotary matrix registers in a memory data editing circuit and alternating the writing of data from a host device and the reading of written data into an editing memory. CONSTITUTION:Data is written from a host device into a matrix register 1 through a decoder 4 as shown by (1). Later, the data of the register 1 is output to an editing memory via a buffer 6 as shown by figure (2). At that time, data is written, as shown by (2)', into a matrix register 2 from the host device through a decoder 5. After this, the data of the register 2 is output to the editing memory via a buffer 7 as shown by figure (3)'. In this way, the writing of data from the host device into one matrix register and the reading of data from the other matrix register into the editing memory are alternately performed in the parallel mode. Therefore, it is possible to output data to the editing memory at almost double the speed. |
