摘要 PURPOSE:To constantly perform machining with optimum machining gain respective to the change and fluctuation of machining conditions by detecting the vibrating condition of a working electrode in the machining direction by means of a vibrating condition detector, and changing the machining gain by means of a machining gain setting means based on the vibrating condition detected. CONSTITUTION:A pulse voltage is applied to an electrode-bath from a machining power pack 11, a no-load voltage time from the application of voltage to the starting of electro- discharge is detected by an electrode-bath condition detector 12, and then the difference in time between the no-load voltage time detected and a setting time set by a command-value setting device 13 is multiplied by a specified machining gain by means of a machining control device 14. Based on the resulting value, an electrode controller 15 controls a driving motor 6 so that the position or speed of a working electrode 1 conforms to the above resulting value. At this time, the vibration of the working electrode 1 in the direction of machining a work 2 is detected by an electrode vibrating condition detector 21 through a speed/position detector 7, and a machining gain is set in the machining contrl device 14 by a machining gain setting device 22 in accordance with the amplitude of the vibration of the working electrode. The electric discharge machining operation can therefore be constantly performed with optimum machining gain in accordance with the change and fluctuation of the machining conditions.
