PURPOSE:To positively recover wire electrodes and eliminate expandable parts by forming the recovery mechanism to recover a wire electrode with the wire electrode held and delivered by a couple of pinch rollers after the wire electrode is fed by means of a fluid. CONSTITUTION:A wire electrode 1 passing through a start hole of a workpiece 10, a lower wire guide 9, and a guide roller 38 is automatically fed with air through a pipe-block 37 and a guide pipe 36 by the flow velocity of the air supplied from a compressor 39 to a fluid introducing passage 40, and contacts a detecting means 43. A detection signal commands a control means 44 to stop the compressor 39, and thus the air supply to a cylinder 36 is stopped through a guide means 400 and a controller 34, with the result that a first pinch roller 16a connected to a lever 31 is pressed against a second pinch roller 17 by restoring force of a spring 32 while holding the wire 1. The wire 1 can therefore be recovered into a recovery pox by the rotation of two pinch rollers 16a, 17.
