PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of a neodymium magnet and to improve reliability by covering and enclosing the magnet having a voice-coil motor by a covering and enclosing means. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is equipped with the magnets 1, magnet covers 2 and a yoke 3. The sequence of assembling these parts is that the magnets 1 are bonded to the magnet covers 2, and then the magnet covers 2 and the yoke 3 are bonded together to make the magnets 1 enclosed. In this case, there is a gap of <=0.5mm between the magnet covers 2 and the yoke 3, but the gap is filled with an adhesive so that the magnets 1 are isolated from the open air. Although this adhesive layer (approximately 1mm thickness) is possibly permeable to the open air in some portion, the thickness of epoxy resin coating for surface treatment on the magnets is 0.1mm, and hence the open air premeated through the adhesive layer is reduced to approximately one tenth, thus isolating the magnets 1 sufficiently from the open air. By this method, the magnets 1 are able to keep high reliability for a long period of time, and malfunction of the magnetic disk device concerned can be prevented.
