PURPOSE:To carry out a stable lap machining by means of an abrasive of a defined quantity and a defined concentration by providing a storage tank for lap fine powder, a powder take-out means, and a water feeding means in a device for feeding an abrasive to a lapping machine for polishing a piezoelectric ceramic plate. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a powder tank 2 for storing lap fine powder 1 is formed into a hopper shape. A powder take-out means 5 consists of a rod 6 passing through the wall face of the tank 2 in the arrow A direction on one side lower part 4 on which the lap fine powder is gathered and an air cylinder 7. As the rod 6 is advanced by driving the air cylinder 7, the take- out hole 10 of the rod 6 enters the inside of the powder tank 2 and is filled with the lap fine powder 1. After that, when the rod 6 is retracted by the reversing drive of the air cylinder 7, accompanying the scratch-off effect of a mouthpiece plate 8, a defined quantity of lap fine powder is taken out of the tank 2 by means of the take-out hole 10 and allowed to fall on the mixing part 14 of a chute 13. At the same time, a defined quantity of water is fed from the header 12 of a water feeding means 11, to feed the powder as a polishing abrasive of a defined concentration.
