PURPOSE:To prevent short circuit of a positive mix bulged by discharge with a sealing plate and to eliminate the bending of a separator to make production easy by forming an insulating film on the inner surface, where is located above a separator at the least, of the hanging part of the sealing plate of a flat type lithium battery. CONSTITUTION:A positive mix 3 is arranged in a stainless steel battery case 2 which also serves as a positive terminal in a flat type lithium battery 1. A negative electrode 5 is arranged on the positive mix 3 via a separator 4, and a sealing plate 6 is inserted into the opening of the case 2 so as to cover the upper surface of the negative electrode 5. An insulating film 10 is formed on the inner surface, where is located above the separator 4 at the least, of the hanging part 7 of the sealing plate 6. At least one organic electrolyte resistant resin selected from polyethylene, polypropylene, silicone resin, and fluorine resin is used as the material for the insulating resin film 10. |
