PURPOSE:To prevent the increase of X-ray damage and noise of a solid state photographing element and plan miniaturization, long life and low noise by inclinedly mounting a fiber plate of a light transmitting axis from a normal line direction of a fluorescent screen. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent screen 1 of zinc sulfide and the like of a X-ray image sensor is formed in an X-ray incident side of a fiber plate 2, and a solid- state photographing element 3 is adhered to the other surface thereof. A light transmitting axis of the fiber plate 2 is inclined 35 deg. from the normal line of the incident surface of the fluorescent screen 1. The fiber plate 2 is composed of a core 4 and a clad 2 in which a light is transmitted. It is necessary from the optical principle of a fiber that the refractive index of clad glass is smaller than that of core glass, but the refractive index is increased in the case where the glass contains elements such as lead and barium of high atomic number. Therefore, it is difficult that the glass has large X-ray absorption factor therein, and the X-ray is transmitted in the clad and the incident of the X-ray is performed in the solid-state photographing element in the where the X-ray falls in the direction of the light transmitting axis of the fiber plate.
