<p>PURPOSE:To reduce line defect due to the short-circuit of a scanning line and to realize redundant constitution without increasing the number of switching devices, by constituting a device in such a way that the second output terminal of the switching device is connected to an adjacent image element electrode. CONSTITUTION:Constitution is formed in such a way that the second output terminal D of the switching device Tij is connected to the adjacent image element electrode Eij+1 in the same row. Also, since no switching devices Tij+1 and Tij+2 are connected directly to a common bus line or a scan bus line of next order, no short-circuit between the scanning line and the common line or two scanning lines is generated even when the short-circuit is generated. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the line defect from being generated. In such a way, it is possible to realize the redundant constitution without increasing the number of the switching devices, and to increase a numerical aperture by reducing the number of switching devices.</p> |
